2. Her grandma had a terrible type of cancer.
have cancer 意為“患癌癥”。have表示“患(病)”, 得(病)”, 與catch和get同義。have是延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞, 表示狀態(tài); catch和get是瞬間動(dòng)詞, 表示動(dòng)作, 不可跟一段時(shí)間連用。
例：I caught (=got) a bad cold three days ago.
我三天前得了重感冒。
I have had a bad cold for three days.我患重感冒已經(jīng)三天了。
3. She asked people if they could help her grandma see the world through pictures.
if 在句中作連詞，意為“是否”，引導(dǎo)賓語(yǔ)從句。
例：The teacher asked if everyone was here.
老師問人是否到齊了。
Please tell me if you know the answer.

in front of 在……前面
