既指整個家庭，也指家人。當family 指家人時，謂語動詞描述家人的活動或狀況，常用復(fù)數(shù)。當family 指家庭概念時，謂語動詞描述家庭整體情況，常用單數(shù)。
e.g. My family are all friendly.
His family is big.
Those are my parents.
那是我的父母。
those 那些
that為其單數(shù)形式；
它是指空間或時間上較遠的人或事物。
parents 意為“父母親”，等于father and mother；
parent 父親或母親，等于father or mother；
parents是parent的復(fù)數(shù)形式。
