Language points
1. What kind of noodles would you like?
kind 在此句中作“種類”講，a kind of“一種”，all kinds of “各種各樣的”。
kind of “有幾分”
e.g. A cat is a kind of animal. 貓是一種動(dòng)物。
The cat is kind of smart. 這只貓有幾分機(jī)靈。
2. May I take your order?/Can I help you?
1) 這都是服務(wù)用語，可根據(jù)不同的服務(wù)場(chǎng)合翻譯成不同的意思。如：在餐館， 都可以用，翻譯成：“你想吃點(diǎn)什么？”，
在商店，用后者，則是“你想買點(diǎn)什么？”
2) 類似的服務(wù)用語還有What can I do for you? 此句的本義為： “我能為你做點(diǎn)什么？”
它與Can I help you?是同義句。
3. What size would you like? 你要多大的？
size n. (尺寸、體積、規(guī)模、身材等的)大�。�
(數(shù)量的)多少；(衣服、鞋帽的)尺碼
e.g. take the size of a box 量箱子的尺寸
houses of all sizes 大大小小的房子
boys of all the same size
一樣個(gè)頭的男孩子們
What size of shoes do you want?
你要多大號(hào)碼的鞋子？
4. some和any的用法
some和any 既可以修飾可數(shù)名詞又可以修飾不可數(shù)名詞，some常用在肯定句中，而any則常用在否定和疑問句中。所以， some 和 any 的區(qū)別在于： some和any 的用法主要是考慮用在肯定句、疑問句還是否定句中，與名詞的可數(shù)與否無關(guān)。
some的用法： some意為“一些”，可作形容詞和代詞。它常修飾可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)。
e.g. some books 一些書，
some boys 一些男孩，
也可修飾不可數(shù)名詞：
some water 一些水 some tea 一些茶葉
any的用法： any意為“任何一些”，它也
可修飾可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞，常
用于疑問句和否定句。
e.g. I can’t see any tea. 我沒看見茶葉。
Do you have any friends at school?
你在學(xué)校有一些朋友嗎?
但在表示建議，反問，請(qǐng)求的疑問句中，或期望得到肯定回答時(shí)，多用some而不用any。
e.g. Would you like some coffee?
你要不要來點(diǎn)咖啡？
How about some fruit juice?
來點(diǎn)水果汁如何？
當(dāng)any表示“任何”的意義，起強(qiáng)調(diào)作用時(shí)，它可以用在肯定句中；
e.g. Any student can answer this question.
任何學(xué)生都可以回答這個(gè)問題。
